Pre-K · Week 18 · Sound Play

Sort loud and soft sounds

I can make a soft whisper and a louder talking voice.

Let’s get started

Today we will explore sort loud and soft sounds through play. Grown-ups can model it first; children can respond by pointing, moving, speaking, or drawing. There is no speed test.

Learn together

  1. Watch together: Make a soft whisper and a louder talking voice.
  2. Try it as a team: Listen to the sound first. Pause, repeat and let the child lead.
  3. Try once more in a new way: Try making the sound out loud. Celebrate the attempt, not perfect results.
